REHM TIGER® High/Ultra 180-230 DC and AC/DC power and maximum mobility

The key factors of the new REHM TIGER® welding units are a wide range of functions, performance, mobility and reliability. The combination of efficiency and low weight makes them the ideal welding current sources for portable use on construction sites, for service orders and repair welding. With two expansion stages, an optional water cooling system and a DC or AC/DC welding unit option, the versatile TIGER® TIG welding units are the perfect solution for welding steel, stainless steel and aluminium in every situation.

A TIGER® TIG welding unit of the HIGH version offers a great number of functions as standard. The ULTRA version includes two additional options; the 17.5 kHz hyperpulse technology and the dual wave technology. The ULTRA version also has over 99 memory locations for recurring welding programs and an extended scope for individually setting different welding parameters. Both versions are available as DC or AC/DC models for welding aluminium and with optional water cooling.

Application-optimised process control and easy operation

The processor control of the new TIGER® TIG welding units has been optimised to support the user. The process control with DUAL.WAVE HYPER.PULS, AC HYPER.PULS, DC HYPER.PULS and HYPER.SPOT DC/AC supports new welding processes for perfect welding results in steel and aluminium. The operation of the unit has also been further improved. In addition to the single-knob operation, function buttons have been provided to enable fast and reliable operation of the new welding units.

Maximum mobility and functional design

TIGER® TIG welding units are available as DC and AC/DC versions for welding aluminium and, with a weight of 7.9 kg, are the lightest in their class. The optional cooling units are specially designed for portable use and are lighter than all comparable devices. The large handle and a wide, comfortable carrying strap provide optimum comfort. The open design allows hose packs and cables to be simply rolled up on the handle of the welding unit.

The possibility to operate a TIGER® welding unit using long extension cables up to 100 meters in length is a further advantage. Generator frequency tracking ensures that TIGER® welding units can work together without problems on smaller generators. And the new ventilation system reliably prevents the penetration of dust and dirt particles into the housing. The very robust plastic housing, a floating carrier plate and the mechanically decoupled rotary knob means that the electronics in the TIGER® welding unit can withstand falling form a height of up to 90 cm. The storage space integrated into the handle is also a practical detail. This can be used to store electrodes and gas nozzles that are always to hand.
